The Executive Board, and Board of Directors recently voted on Hall of Fame (HoF) nomination for Jeanann Madden and it is with great pride that the league can announce that she was overwhelming voted into the Steel City Softball Hall of Fame

Jeanann managed & coached the Mavericks beginning in her second year of league membership. She took the Mavericks to the NAGAAA Softball World Series in Toronto. She was the team sponsor for the Mavericks for several years, including purchasing “extras” like hats & personalized sports bags.

In addition to taking care of her own team, she also anonymously paid membership fees, travel fees, etc. for other players who couldn’t afford to play.

She served the Steel City Softball League as secretary, being the first woman to serve in the role, and the first person to take our documents from physical to digital.

In her personal life, she is an Army veteran, including combat zone active duty in the Persian Gulf War (1990-1991). US Army Reserve (12 years). Taught as an elementary school teacher, including social studies, science, computers for 32 years.
