Cassie Lloyd (She/Her), Commissioner (2024-2026)

I have been a part of SCSL for 6 seasons, and year after year I feel my own community grow and watch new friendships develop. Serving as the Assistant Recreational Commissioner for the past 2 years, I have seen first hand the time and effort necessary for continued success and have learned so much along the way.

I am so encouraged about the direction the Steel City Softball League is heading in, and want to continue to be a part of the leadership team. I would love to use what Iā€™ve learned to help grow league membership, further the leagueā€™s relationship with NAGAAA, increase involvement in the community, and see the return of a full pageant.

Angela Romanello (She/Her), Recreational Division (2024-2026)

I have a long history of involvement with Steel City, including managing and playing on several teams. Iā€™m committed to supporting league efforts to create equitable and affirming spaces for queer folks and allies to enjoy softball and socialization.

I look forward to using this opportunity to further partner with intentionally queer community businesses and organizations to further empower and grow our leagues viability.

Harry Caskey (He/Him), Secretary (2024-2026)

I am currently the Secretary of the League, and have played in this league for over a decade. I help run operations, technology, communication, and our website, as well as all the other duties assigned to the Secretary. In additional, I also manage our subscription services and donation programs for the non-profit entities.

I am seeking another term as Secretary, and hope with the new Executive Board we can make a more prosperous league for 2024.

Brian Werner (He/Him), Membership Chairperson (2024-2026)

Hello there everyone. My name is Brian Werner, and Iā€™m a born-and-raised Pixburgher. Back in 2013-ish, thanks to one of my besties, I joined the league as a Ninja. After a few seasons of being called a ā€œsmart assā€, I was able to play with the Peacocks. Nowadays, you can find me most weekends playing softball with the Little Pigs.

For your consideration, I would like to serve as your Membership Chair. In my previous life, I served on the executive board of the Steel City Volleyball League. During my tenure, we worked together to increase our leagueā€™s membership through various social activities, and I would like to bring those skills to the position. For the SCSL, I would like to bring our current members together for various social opportunities throughout the year. This will allow for interested non-softball individuals to see what all the fun is about.

As a league, I appreciate the safe environment we provide for our LGBTQIA+ brothers and sisters and our allies. I want to work alongside our SCSL Executive Board and our teams to show our community that everyone has a place in the Steel City Softball League.

Thank you for your consideration.
