Assistant Commissioner – Competitive Division (2022-2024)
Becs Powers (She/Her) – Incumbent
Our league is the oldest LGBTQ+ sports league in this city. This league is so much more than just a softball league to so many people. It is a pilar of this community. Currently we have the most members we’ve had in recent memory. 14 teams is the most I can remember in my 20 plus years in this league. Obviously that growth has come with some growing pains but there is nothing we can’t get through, if we all stick together.
Over the past 2 plus years, I have worked tirelessly to help ensure the success of this league. It hasn’t always been perfect, but I have always tried to do what I thought was best for this league as a whole.
But there is more work to be done, and I want to be a part of helping this league move forward to reaching its full potential.
Thank you for your consideration

Treasurer (2022-2024)
Bobby (He/Him)
Hi! I’m Bobby Angelo and I am looking to fill the Treasurer position for the league. I’m currently on the Little Pigs and this is my second season in the league.
Although I’ve only been with the league a short amount of time, I love the atmosphere and the camaraderie . The people that are part of the organization are amazing and every time we play, I can not stop smiling (except of course when I am out of breath from a running a short distance, working on the cardio!). It’s a great time to be outside and play some softball and be comfortable with who you are as a person. I have met so many amazing people that play in the league and I am looking forward to meet many more in the years to come. I have been part of several leagues and I would like a chance to give back and volunteer my time and energy to help continue to make this a successful organization. I believe my love for the game and passion for the league will be a good contribution to the executive board.
For my professional career, I have worked at BNY Mellon for 9.5 years and I am currently a manager of Investment Operations. Way back in 2010, I was elected to a two year term as a Borough Councilman in my small town. I’m familiar with with structure of this type of organization and the need to work together for a common goal. If elected, I look forward to positively contributing to the league in a meaningful way to ensure its longevity for future LGBTQIA+ members. As Treasurer, I will maintain complete and accurate financial records and will keep the executive board up to date on the financial status of the league.
Marketing Chairperson (2022-2024)
Mary (She/Her)
I have been a member of the SCSL for over 6 years. I currently manage the Gracie Lou Freedbushes, a team that won back to back championships in their inaugural years. I want to give back to a league that has brought me to such an amazing community of people.
